วิธีการอัพกรดก็เหมือนกับการอัพเกรดทั่วไปคือ
1. สำรองข้อมูลก่อน กันพลาด
2. ลบ หรือ ย้ายไฟล์ของ 6.1F ไปยังโพล์เดอร์อื่นยกเว้นโฟล์เดอร์ attachmentsและไฟล์config.inc.php
3. Upload discuz6.1 ไปยังที่อยู่ forumยกเว้นไฟล์ config.inc.phpและโฟล์เดอร์ attachments
4. Upload ไฟล์ อัพเกรด 6.1Fto6.1 ไปยังที่เดียวหันกับที่อยู่ของไฟล์config.inc.php
